A Merry Occasion is a charming historical house built in 1911, to which a beautiful chapel was added in 1937. After years of renovation, it was opened in 1992 as a unique wedding, party, and meeting facility.
The mid-city location is situated across from Mutual Of Omaha, and only several blocks from I-480.
A Merry Occasion Chapel has been the site for approximately 100 weddings each year since our opening.
The chapel features an open-beamed celing, and 24 pews seating up to 150 guests.
The chapel is decorated with silk flowers, candleabras, pew bows, and a tulle and ivy covered arch.
The chapel features stained glass windows.
There is a small dressing room for the bridal party.
The tea room can be rented for occasions such as showers, luncheons, card parties and prenuptial dinners for fewer than 30 guests.
Custom personalized embroidery can be purchased as well as garters, purses, jewelry, attendant gifts, custom silk flowers and Carlson Craft printed invitations.
We carry a wide range of discounted guest books and pens, cake tops and knife sets, unity candles and holders, toasting glasses and much more!
Our hall is fully decorated, and may be rented for any occasion. We include all set-up and clean-up, decorations and centerpieces in any color scheme or theme. We hold a Nebraska liquor license, and include a bartender and full cash bar. We also hold a restaurant license with a wide range of food and prices. There is a sound system available for your own music.
This 1500 sq. foot hall is located on the lower level of A Merry Occasion and will accommodate a maximum of 120 guests.
The rental fee of the hall includes all of the set-up of seating, tables covered in lace vinyl cloths, appropriate decorations and centerpieces with flowers, and floating candles to match your color scheme.
No alcohol may be brought in or taken out of the facility. We do supply a full bar and bartender, operated as a cash bar or complimentary host bar.
